Beverly Vines

Beverly Ann Vines, 72, was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Mr. and Mrs. Obadiah and Hattie Vanessa Tunstall (Harrison). She transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life quietly and in the peace and love of her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 22, 2024.

She received her formal education in the Baltimore City Schools and Harrisburg Area Community College.

During her working career she was employed for 15 years with The Hershey Company and 15 years with The Pennsylvania State Department of Public Welfare.

In the community, she helped with many Christian Organizations dedicated to helping children around the world and eliminating poverty. She was a Union Steward and a retired member of AFSCME.

In her youth, Beverly enjoyed fishing, music, singing in choirs and dancing. In her later years, she enjoyed watching Christian programs, private bible studies, chatting with friends at her local coffee shop and playing bingo.

Beverly attended The First Baptist Church of Steelton and New Zion Agape Fellowship under Pastor Madeline Clark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin L. Buck and James H. Vines Jr.; her brothers, Reverend John Moss, Sr. and Charles Moss and her sisters, Dora Crowder and Elizabeth Moss.

She leaves to cherish precious memories of her, her children, LaChelle T. Brice (Stephen), Trea L. Buck, Kelly K. Buck, Amber Joy Vines and Ryan Vines; her grandchildren, Leah N. Fletcher (Jeff), Devon M. Brice, Aren S. Brice, Brandon J. Debow (Kaitlyn), Christopher J. Buck (April), Corey C. Buck (Colleen), Cohen A. Buck (Janessa), Eric S. McGill, BriAnna Y. Kleczek (Justin), Téa L. Welsh, Kara R. Parker, Diamond L. Williamson (Wendell) and many much-loved grandpuppies; her great grandchildren, Jarrod, Jacoby, Katherina, Alessandra, Dante, Zeidon, Christopher Jr, Analise, Aubree, Elijah James, Yasmine, Joel, Rio, Tianni, Josiah, Amaya and Milo; her sister, Shirley Mae Hall; her sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson; her long-time friend, Vennicee Brice; her closest nieces and nephews, Kenneth Rogers, Katherine Rogers, David Hall, Arlene Crowder, Kenneth Moore and Miesha Johnson.

Beverly's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
