Alvin Henry Williams, Jr.
Alvin Buddy Williams Jr., (72) of Woodville, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at his residence. Buddy was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 5, 1951 to the late Alvin Williams, Sr. and Virginia Williams.
Buddy went to Cross Keys High School in Atlanta, Ga and from there he became a Taxidermist. On February 25, 1977 he married the love of his life Elaine Hall of Atlanta, Ga. There was nothing loved more than spending time hunting and spending time with his family. In July of 1982 they moved to Woodville, Georgia and opened Buddy Williams Taxidermy in Union Point, Ga. He recently turned the business over to his daughter. He was the first full time Taxidermist in Greene County since 1977.
He very much loved his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Williams.
Survivors are his sister Karen Oliver of Comer, Ga., his daughter Michelle Corley of Thompson, son Charles McCook (Arisbeth) of Manassas, Vir., Julie Walker of Woodville; grandkids: Madison Porterfield of Washington, Hailey McCook of Lexington, Ga., Isabella and Sawyer McCook of Manassas, Vir., Timberly Walker of Thompson; Mason, Mallory & Brock Walker of Woodville. His dogs Roxy and Betty.
The family is going to hold a Celebration of Life at
Celebration Baptist Church on April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. prior to that have a 10:00 visitation with the family. After the service we have lunch in the fellowship hall.
