Anson William Hairston, 60, of Midlothian, Virginia, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 1, 2024.
Anson was born on July 15, 1963 to William Henry Hairston and Doris Lee Hairston in Buffalo, New York. After moving to Martinsville, Virginia to live with his father, he graduated high school, and went on to obtain his Masters Degree in Engineering from Norfolk State University. Anson soon after began his career at Altria (Philip Morris), where he would retire after 35 years with the title as Senior Manufacturing Analyst.
Anson met his wife, Jenelle (Butler) Hairston in Richmond, where they were married on May 28, 2005, to celebrate 18 years of marriage. Anson and Jenelle have two children, Maxwell Anson and Noah Anderson. Anson, Jenelle, and their boys resided in their home in Midlothian where they were active at their then church for over 10 years. Anson loved spending time with family and friends, listening to Smooth Jazz music, and relaxing watching science fiction movies.
Anson was preceeded in death by his father, William Henry Hairston.
Surviving are his wife, Jenelle Butler Hairston; two sons, Maxwell Anson Hairston and Noah Anderson Hairston; mother, Doris Hairston; sister, Vanessa Hairston; stepmother, Jaunita Zeigler Hairston; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; father and mother-in-law, Bishop Moses Butler and Evangelist Katherine Butler; brothers-in-law, Elder LaNardo Butler (LaKeesha), LaRenzo Butler (Sonia) and Renelle Butler (Ingrid); step-siblings, Paris Cockerham (Cleve), Gwendolyn Robinson (Curtis), Deborah Stocks (Reggie), Donna Cline (Terry), Denise Petty (Dwayne), Stan Hill (Marie) and Norris Dean Hill; other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be private. There will be no public viewing but the guest book and video can be viewed from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024.
