Chesnee, SC – Pauline Fernanders was born on July 31, 1931; she was one of 21 children born to the late Mr. Roy Fernanders and the late Mrs. Edna Littlejohn Fernanders in Spartanburg County, SC. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to: her children, Frankie Sue Copeland, Boyce (Gloria) Fernanders, Rev. Carolyn (Robert) Powell, Bessie (Hylie) Copeland, Romana (Mike) McKinney all of Chesnee, SC, Patricia Wilkins, Edna Charlette Fernanders of Spartanburg, SC; her siblings, Annie Mae Crawford, Julie Gaffney, Haley (Willie) Thompson, Prelo Fernanders, James Willard (Nora) Fernanders all of Chesnee, SC, Early Rose (Robert) Bell of Norwalk, CT and Elmer Fernanders of Maryland; her 19 grandchildren; her 44 great-grandchildren; her 12 great great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters and her twin sister, Alline McKinney; her five brothers. A Celebration of the Life of Pauline Fernanders will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Friends In Christ United Methodist Church, 613 Fairfield St., Chesnee, SC 29323. Reverend Harold Johnson will officiate. Interment will be held in the Fernanders Memorial Gardens, 1152 Turkey Farm Rd., Chesnee, SC 29323.
