GRACE LEONORA MARKS, daughter of the late Mabel McLane Stermer and the late Curvin Stermer was born in York, Pennsylvania.
She worked at the West Shore Country Club as a banquet set up and serving and at the Ecumenical Retirement Community as a PCA.
Grace loved coloring, cooking, doing puzzles, watching wrestling, Tyler Perry movies and thrift shopping for classic finds. She enjoyed going to her great grandkids sports games and spending time with them. She also loved to volunteer at local food banks. She would always find time to help anyone in need no matter good or bad, she was there for anyone.
Grace Leonora Marks, at the age of 89 years entered into eternal life at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Peterson; her grandson, Mason Peterson; her brothers, Malcolm G. Stermer, David F. Stermer and Robert E. Stermer; her sisters, Virginia M. Stermer and Betty C. Hughes and she leaves to mourn her life her granddaughter, Shannon Peterson; her great grandchildren, Travion Peterson, Tylishaun Parker, Tanasia Parker, Carneal Parker, Jr., Zahara Peterson, Cerenity Halty and Cory Halty, Jr.; her siblings, Mary Landis, Alice Mansberger, Dot Shank, Janet Livingston and Gerald Stermer; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Grace's life will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Friday, April 5, 2024 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.
