Obituary For Mrs. Sharon Ann Goodman

SPARTANBURG, SC- Mrs. Sharon Ann Garrett Goodman, 58, peacefully entered rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Lottie Ruth Garrett and Raymond Benson. Mrs. Goodman was the widow of Mr. Robert Goodman. Sharon was employed for more than 20 years with the former T.K. Gregg Recreation Center. Mrs. Goodman is survived by her loving family: her daughter, LaToya Garrett; her brothers, Michael “Sonny” (Marie) Garrett, Rufus (Beverly) Garrett, Marvin (Shelly) Foster, Jesse Benson, Samuel (Chianti) Benson, Gwen Benson all of Spartanburg, SC and Raymond (Adrienne) Benson of NJ; her sisters, Mozelle Barlow, Gladys C. (Marshall) Anderson, Floya (Escarpheus) Plair, Elizabeth A. Benson all of Spartanburg, SC and Ronnette (Leo) Cash of California; her grandchildren, Nia-Samone Garrett and Da’Tavion Garrett; and a host of relatives and friends. Sharon was predeceased by her daughter, Samone Monique Garrett and her sister Annie Simpson. A Celebration of the Life of Sharon Ann Garrett Goodman will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Apostle Douglas Styles will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home, 209 Tibbs Dr., Spartanburg, SC and at the home of Michael and Marie Garrett, 759 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. J.W.
