Obituary For Mr. Leevan 'Pap' Bivings

SPARTANBURG, SC- Leevan “Pap” Bivings passed on Friday, February 27, 2015. Mr. Bivings was born in Inman, SC to the late Gerald Bivings, Sr. and Mereadian Goforth Bivings. Mr. Bivings was employed as in various maintenance jobs until he retired at the age of seventy three. “Pap” was a well-known musician thought Spartanburg County. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his daughter, Paige (Marvin) Holmes of Forthood, TX; his son, Marcus Hardy of Spartanburg, SC; his three grandchildren, Alexis, Dylan And Makenzie; his three sisters, Lula M. (Willie) Scruggs of Spartanburg, SC, Mary L. Bivings of New York,NY and Dollie Bivings of San Diego, CA; his brother, Gerald Bivings, Jr. of Oakland, CA; his five nephews; his one niece; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his son, Leevan Bivings, Jr.; two sisters, Essie Marie Bivings Hooker and Ruth Bivings; one brother, Joseph James Bivings; and his nephew, Curtis Washington Bivings. Graveside Services for Leevan “Pap” Bivings will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
