Herbert Lee Bell, Jr., 72, husband of the late Dorethea Lewis Bell and Ernestine Spann Bell, died Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his residence, 117-A Brent St., Sumter, SC. He was born January 7, 1952 in Manning, SC. A son of the late Herbert Lee, Sr. and Clude Canty Bell.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00PM til 6:00PM Friday, April 12, 2024 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1260 Green Hill Church Rd., Alcolu, SC. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Doretha and Edwin James, 1327 Warwick Dr., Sumter, SC and at his residence.
