Edward E. Harlen, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 69 in Danville, KY. He was born on January 20, 1955 to the late Patricia Ann Harlen and Chinos Harlen.
Edward was born in Danville, KY. He was raised in Catholic faith and always been dedicated to his faith. He graduated from Danville High School, later attending Eastern Kentucky University, where he majored in Art and Drafting.
Edward had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He was a talented artist, an avid fisherman, and enjoyed reading comic books. He also had a love for martial arts, sports, spending time with friends and family, and listening to music. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and his ability to make everyone around him feel loved and appreciated.
Edward had a large and loving family. He is survived by his daughter Nekeeva Buster and two sons Rashad Buster and Algernon Buster, as well as his stepson Olyjuwon Mays. He also leaves behind his two sisters Stephanie Harlen and Ann West, and five brothers John Harlen (Kelli), Wayne Harlen, Stephen Harlen (Maria), Joseph Harlen, and Ronald Harlen (Patricia). He was a cherished uncle to his nieces Kendra Jackson and his nephews Stephen Harlen Jr., Marcus Harlen, Jeremiah Harlen, Stephon Harlen, Twain Harlen, Mark Harlen, Arsenio Harlen, and John Harlen Jr. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his son Martaevio Buster and niece Nicole Harlen.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
