Obituary For Chris Watkins

CHRIS WATKINS, SR. Spartanburg, SC – Chris Watkins, Sr., 43, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 12, 2015. Mr. Watkins was the son of Linda Watkins. He was the husband of Mrs. Stacey Watkins. Mr. Watkins was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was employed with Freightliner Custom Chassis. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his loving wife; his cherished daughter, Desiree Byers of Orangeburg, SC; his treasured son, Chris Watkins, Jr. of the home; his dear sisters, Cynthia Watkins of Gaffney, SC, Teresa Mattocks of Charlotte, NC, Jocelyn Watkins of Concord, NC and Elizabeth Watkins of Charlotte, NC; his mother in-law, Celia Weeks of Gaffney, SC; his father in-law, Larry Byers, Sr. of Gaffney, SC; his sisters in-law, Tracey Byers and Loretta Holmes both of Gaffney, SC; his brothers in-law, Larry Byers, Jr. and Bryant Holmes both of Gaffney, SC; his four nieces and two nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of the Life of Chris Watkins, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 700 S. Converse St., Spartanburg, SC. Bishop Charles J.J. Jackson, III will officiate. Interment will be held in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC. There will be no public viewing, as requested by Mr. Watkins. The family will receive friends at the home; and at the home of his mother, Linda Watkins.

Our Hearts were saddened to hear of Chris's Transition from Earth to Heaven. But we can rejoice to know that he is in his Heavenly Home and resting in the Arms of the Savior. with you Stacey,Desiree and JJ our prayers and Love are with you forever and mainly at this time of your Bereavement.
