Obituary For Lillie Norton

Lillie Mae Norton SPARTANBURG, SC--Missionary Lillie Mae Norton, 76, born on July 10, 1939 answered the Lord's call on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. She was the widow of Willie James Norton. Sister Norton was a member of The Universal Body of Christ Church for many years, where she served on the Usher Board Missionary, Pastor's Aid Committee and Hospitality Leader. Mrs. Norton was a vocalist leader of many groups: Monks Grove Gospel Choir, Supreme Angels of Woodruff and Gospel Six. She was a past member of Smith Line Sympathy Club, Rays of Sunshine Sympathy Club, MBS #13 and Order of Eastern Star, Pride of Spartanburg #98. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her daughter, Hazel Norton Norris (Bobby) of Rockhill, SC; her grandchildren, Dea (Angel) Norton reared in the home, Tenisha Parks and Douglas Linder, Jr. both of Spartanburg, SC. A Celebration of the Life of Missionary Lillie Mae Norton will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at New Faith International Church, 13 Ark Main St., Spartanburg, SC. Reverend Rosavelt Copeland will officiate. Interment will be held at Switzer Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 290 Ashe Ln., Moore, SC. The family will receive friends at the home of her grandson, Dea Norton, 523 Pleasant Breeze Way, Spartanburg, SC.

My thoughts and prayers are with you may God comfort you. It was a joy to know Lillie Mae the times she made you laugh and the joy when she would sing 'On my home' God received an angel and I know she's singing in that heavenly choir may God continually bless you. She will be missed.
