Melvin Douglas Howard SPARTANBURG, SC--Melvin Douglas Howard, 57, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2015. Mr. Howard was the son of Mrs. Jeannie Ruth Smith McHam and the late Mr. Boyce Howard, Jr. Mr. Howard was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Whitestone, SC. Melvin was employed with Union Camp. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his loving mother; his children; his devoted brothers, Thomas Howard and Michael Howard both of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other treasured relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of the Life of Melvin Douglas Howard will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 93 Mt. Calvary Church Rd., Whitestone, SC. Minister Mill McHam will officiate. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 170 Dogan Ct., Spartanburg, SC.
