Obituary For Alberta Huston

Alberta M. Huston, 73, passed on Monday, October 19, 2015. She was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 1, 1942 to the late J.C. and Katherine Castleberry McClintock. Alberta was the loving and devoted wife of David Huston. She was a graduate of Carver High School. Mrs. Huston was a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church where she served in many capacities such as: Deaconess, Vice president and Member of the Fellowship Choir, Member of the Women’s Choir, Sunday School Teacher of the Women’s Class and a Member of the Senior Ministry. Alberta retired from Hoechst Celanese. After her retirement she volunteered in numerous assisted living retirement homes. Mrs. Huston leaves a legacy of love and fond memories to: her children, Shirley (William) McClintock-Lott of Roebuck, SC, David McClintock of Hanover, MD, Reginald (Sonya) Sawyer of Atlanta, GA, Gary (Barbara) Irby and Schenell Hawkins both of Fairmont, SC and Audrey (John) Huston-Huniecutt of Roebuck, SC; her brothers, Andrew McClintock of Granville, NY and Robert (Ruth) McClintock of Norwalk, CT; her sister, Elizabeth McClintock of Spartanburg, SC; her sister-in-law, Margaret McClintock of Stamford, CT; her brother-in-law, Willie Murphy of Duncan, SC; her thirteen grandchildren; her sixteen great grandchildren; her four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Alberta M. Huston will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Foster Chapel Baptist Church, 2800 Stone Station, Roebuck, SC. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Patrick Suber will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home, 921 Old Canaan Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
