Obituary For Lillie Littlejohn

Lillie M. Littlejohn, 82, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 26, 2015. Mrs. Littlejohn was the daughter of Ben Rice and the late Eddie Woodson. She was the widow of Arthur Littlejohn. Mrs. Littlejohn was a faithful and devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where she served in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church December Birthday Club, Senior Missionary Club, Duncan Sympathy Club, Head of Food Committee and The Helping Hand Sympathy Club. She was employed with The Piedmont Club for twenty-one years and Summit Hills Retirement for ten years. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her sons, Luther W. Smith, II of the home and Thomas L. (Nancy) Smith of Spartanburg, SC; her sisters, Bernice Woodson of Jonesville, SC, Flora Steel of Spartanburg, SC, her brother, Robert Woodson of Akron, OH; her three grandchildren; her six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and caring friends. Mrs. Littlejohn was preceded in death by her son, Bennie Lee Smith. A Celebration of the Life of Lillie M. Littlejohn will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 445 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC. Interment will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, 618 Forest St, Jonesville, SC. Rev. Dr. Benjamin D. Snoddy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home, 345 Ridgewood Ave. and the home of her son, Thomas L. Smith, 223 Crestline Dr.
