Obituary For Lucille Mickles

Lucille Hemphill Mickles SPARTANBURG, SC-- Lucille Hemphill Mickles, 99, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Mrs. Mickles was the daughter of Dock and Bertha Hemphill. She was the widow of Fred Mickles. Lucille was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She retired from Kimbrell's Furniture. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her two daughters, Annie Horton of Philadelphia, PA and Brenda (Kenneth) Dawkins of Gaffney, SC; her seven sisters, Thelma Horton of Philadelphia, PA, Effie Moody of Columbus, OH, Helen Jefferies, Catherine Roberts, Mary Ann Jolly, Betty Harris and Addie Faye (Milton) Dawkins all of Gaffney, SC; her three granddaughters; Her eleven great grandchildren; her six great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Lucille was preceded in death by four sisters, Janie Mae Reid, Willie Dawkins, Annie Griffin and Viola Cox; and three brothers, Willie James Hemphill, Dock Hemphill, Jr. and Charles Ross. A Celebration of the Life of Lucille H. Mickles will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 700 S. Converse St., Spartanburg, SC. Bishop Dr. Charles J.J. Jackson, III will officiate. Interment will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Drayton, SC. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Kenneth Dawkins, 112 Carver St., Gaffney, SC.
