Obituary For Marcus George, Sr.

Pelham, GA - Marcus George, Sr. passed on Monday, February 29, 2016. He was the son of Johnny Charles Reese and the late Rosa L. George. Marcus graduated from Pelham High School, Class of 2001. He was a member of Shepherd’s Heart Kingdom Ministries where he was co-director of the Food Ministry and served on the Men’s Ministry. Mr. George served in the U.S. Army for four years, with two tours in Iraq. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his wife, Beatrice L. George; his children, Marcus George, Jr. and Antowain James Walker both of Pelham, GA, Tamya Landrum and Jamya Bennett both of the home; his father, Johnny Charles (Annie) Reese; his siblings, Shanita (Aleem) Cochran and Travis George both of Macon, GA, Sharon (Will) Searcy of Warner Robins, GA and Johntavious Reese of Albany, GA; and a host of relatives and friends. A Memorial Service for Marcus George, Sr. will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Interment will be in the Thomas Garden of Memory, First Street, Pelham, GA.
