Obituary For Fletcher Wright, Jr.

Fletcher Wright, Jr. Spartanburg, SC - Fletcher Wright, Jr. 67, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 17, 2016. Mr. Wright was the son of Fletcher and Dorothy Wright. He was the widower of Hattie Wright. Fletcher was a member of New Day Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Ministry, Helping Hand Sympathy Ministry and New Day Male Choir- President. He was also a member of Pride 211 and 33 A Great Man. He was a retired veteran. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his four daughters, Karima of NY, Imani of York, Rashida of Spartanburg, SC and Naimah of NY; his seven stepchildren, Hattie, Margie, Lawanda, Roxanne, Jessie and Preston Wright and Darrell and Chester Cutter; his three sisters, Dorothy Wright and Carol Ann Wright both of NY and Faye Stevens of Spartanburg, SC; his two brothers, Willie Paul of the home and Kenneth and Janice Wright; her nephew, John Wright; her twenty grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Fletcher was preceded in death by his son Anthony Wright, two sisters, Henrietta and Mary Wright and a brother, John M. Wright. Masonic Rites will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. A Celebration of the Life of Fletcher Wright, Jr. will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at New Day Baptist Church, 2090 S. Church St, Spartanburg, SC. Reverend James L. Hailstock, M. Div. will officiate. Interment will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Faye Stevens, 207 Gowan Circle, Spartanburg, SC.
