SPARTANBURG, SC -- Johnny B. Byrd, 80, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 19, 2016. Mr. Byrd was the son of the late Winfield and Viola Byrd. Johnny was a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his sisters, Lousie Hawkins, Mary Fernados, Juanita Copeland, Bernice (John) Coan, Gennell 'Jo' (Edward) Tolliver; his brother, Bobby (Druella) Byrd; his aunt, Gettis Byrd; his cherished friends, Sylvia Burton, Gladys Tucker and Mattie Means; his special cousin, Blondie Shepherd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by Winfield Byrd, Jr., James Williams Byrd and Virginia Ruth Smith. A Celebration of the Life of Johnny B. Byrd will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fosters Chapel Baptist Church, 2800 Stone Station Rd, Roebuck, SC. Interment will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.
