Obituary For Mrs. Rosa Rogers Miller

Spartanburg, SC - Rosa Mae Rogers Miller, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, transitioned from this life on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Carvelt and Evelyn Wofford Rogers. Rosa was educated in the Spartanburg County school system and graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1957. She retired from Hoechst Celanese in 1999 and once retired, spent countless hours serving her church, Destiny Fellowship Church, family and community. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Miller, and sons, Charles and Forrest Rogers. Survivors include: three sons, Thomas and Gerald Rogers both of Spartanburg, SC and Terry Miller of Washington, DC; three daughters, Veronica Sellers of Indianapolis, IN, Charlene Miller-Thomas of Spartanburg, SC, and Darlene (Mukhtar) Muhammad of Jacksonville, FL; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; one brother, Willie 'Billy' (Louvenia) Rogers of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Carrie and Dorothy Rogers, and Gloria Young all of Spartanburg, SC; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Smith, Spartanburg, SC; a special niece who was like a daughter, Trina (Beautford) Keenon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Destiny Fellowship Church, 3825 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC, 29376. Pastor B. K. Waters and Rev. Rondey Bolden will officiate. Interment will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC. Visitation and viewing will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. prior to service. The family is receiving family and friends at the home, 361 Amherst Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29306.
