Velma Adelaide Carter, 91, formerly of the Harlowe community, passed away on April 17, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

Visitation from Saturday, 9 AM-10 AM at the Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery.

Left to cherish Velma’s memories: her children: Johnny C. Carter, Durham, NC, David D. Carter, Upper Marlboro, MD and Glenda D. Holmes, Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Shawnna Reed; sister, Clara Purvis, NJ; brother, Kenneth Adams, and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
