Obituary For Mr. Charle Cohen

Spartanburg, SC - Mr. Charles Everette Cohen, 76, husband of Mrs. Julia Moore-Cohen of 112 Whitener Ave., peacefully entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 22, 2016 at White Oak Manor. Mr. Cohen was born April 29, 1940 to the late Mr. Leonard and Mrs. Lucille Nesbitt Cohen. Charles graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1958. He was employed at International Paper formally known as Union Camp for thirty-nine years before retiring. Mr. Cohen was of the Baptist Faith. Charles was preceded in death by a son, Vincent Dean Cohen; a sister, Ms. Doris Cohen; and a step-son, Mr. Otis Lamar Kelley. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his loving wife, Julia Moore-Cohen of the home; his two daughters, Deborah Ann Cohen Ricketts and Jokeitha (Steve) Reddish both of Spartanburg, SC; his six sons, Kenneth Edwin Cohen, Johnathan Keith Cohen, Lewis Mabryn, Michael Kelly, Marlon Nesbitt and Lajuane Nesbitt all Spartanburg, SC; his three sisters, Janice McMillan of Spartanburg, SC and Judy Miller and Robin Cohen-Moore of Moore, SC; his four brothers, Thomas (Anne) Cohen, John Earl (Barbara) Cohen, Douglas Cohen and Roger (Almetra) Cohen all of Spartanburg, SC; her God daughter, Linda Moore; his twenty-five grandchildren; his twenty-one great-grandchildren; his two aunts, Hattie Mae Smith of Moore, SC and Lula Cohen of Spartanburg, SC; his uncle, Oree Rogers of Spartanburg, SC; his sister-in-law, Maggie Butler; his two-brothers-in-law, Johnny Moore and Willie C. Moore both of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. A Celebration of the Life of Charles Everette Cohen will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Patrick Suber will officiate. Interment will be in the Foster’s Chapel Baptist Church, 2800 Hwy. 215, Roebuck, SC. The family is at the home.
