Obituary For Reginald Glenn

Spartanburg, SC - Reginald Glenn “Captain Boogie”, 69, entered eternal rest on November 17, 2016. He was born October 28, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Charles and Edith Glenn. Reginald was a loving father and friend. No matter what you were going through, if he crossed your path, his warm smile and hilarious jokes were sure to brighten your day. He was employed with Vic Bailey Ford of Spartanburg, SC where he detailed cars for many years. His love of music led him to the turntables where he gave himself the name “Captain Boogie.” He served as a DJ for family and friends throughout the years. Reginald will be greatly missed by us all. Although, we lost a great member of our family and a true friend to many, God gained an angel that is sure to liven up Heaven with love and laughter. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his daughter, Zeverly Charlita Glenn (Timothy) of Spartanburg, SC; his two sons, Reginald Fitzgerald Glenn (Samantha) of Boiling Springs, SC and Christopher Antonio Glenn of Spartanburg, SC; the mother of his children, Mrs. Margie Ree Glenn; his two sisters, Genevie Murphy and Elizabeth Jones (Robert) both of Spartanburg, SC; his brother, Charles Glenn of Spartanburg, SC; his eleven grandchildren; his six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Reginald Glenn will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
