Elder Gary Lee Hibner, Sr.

Elder Gary L. Hibner, Sr., gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday April 24, 2024, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Elder Hibner served as the Asst. Pastor of Miracle Temple of Deliverance COGIC in Louisville. He formally pastored Greater Love COGIC Greenville, KY. He was a National Adjutant of the Church of God in Christ.

Elder Hiber served as an Assistant Funeral Director at Percell & Sons Funeral Home for 23 years.

Mr. Hibner was a former football coach at Radcliff Middle School and Radcliff Youth Football, having coached a member of the NFL. He retired from the United States Army as a SSG where he held a Top-Secret Clearance. SSG (Retired) Hibner was a member of the Disabled American Veteran (DAV) and Veterans of Foreign War (VFW).

Elder Hibner was preceded in death by his father, Harry C. Hibner, Sr. and his brother Harry C. Hibner, Jr.

Mr. Gary Hibner leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife of 44 years, Barbara Brown Hibner; son, Gary L. (Fannie) Hibner, Jr. of Radcliff; three daughters, Natasha ( Christopher) Haskins of Lexington, Ericka (Taheed) Walls of Radcliff and Alesha (Calvin)Baker of Colorado Springs; eighteen grandchildren, Aniyah Hibner, Cameran Haskins, Talaysia Seals, Taliyah Seals, King Arthur, Zion Arthur, Tristen Haskins, Trinity Haskins, Autumn Baker, Jeremiah Seals, William Baker, Jasiah Hibner, Jacelyn Hibner, Mateja Hibner, Adele Baker, Eliyah Haskins, Javen Haskins and Christopher Haskins; his mother Geraldine Hibner of York, PA; five brothers, Timothy (Germaine) Hibner, John Hibner, Paul Hibner, Lawrence (Bridgette) Martin, and Stevie Hibner.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at St. Stephens Church in Radcliff with Bishop Gabriel J. Hatcher, Sr. officiating. Burial will at 1:30 p.m. Friday at KY Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with full military rites.

Visitation after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Percell & Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
