Mr. Dennis Martel Sanders was born on August 6, 1980 to Mrs. Brenda Middlebrooks and Mr. Dennis Sanders in Thomaston, Upson County. At an early age, he joined Pine Chapel Baptist Church. He attended public school in the Upson County School System and attended Upson- Lee High School. He later earned his GED. He later joined New Life Church and lastly Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Martel made friends in school that lasted his lifetime. He was more affectionately known as “Po Pimp,” by many of them. He suffered some health challenges in his life but managed to enjoy life. During his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, driving, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Everyone that met and knew Martel loved him. He was friendly and very respectful.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ozell Womble and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Sanders. On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the Lord called his name. He answered and went home to be at rest. His departure has saddened the hearts of his family but he is now free from all sickness, pain, and sorrow.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Brenda Sanders of Thomaston, GA; one brother, Mr. Christopher (Mary) Middlebrooks of Barnesville, GA; aunts and uncles include; Mrs. Darlene (Reginald) Bailey of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Debbie Hobbs of Kathleen, GA, and Mr. Jimmie (Connie) Sandrs of Rolesville, NC; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
