TAIVEON CURVONTE GAYLES, affectionately called “Tadaman” and “Chef Tada,” departed this life suddenly April 18, 2024 in Hagerstown, MD. He was born August 4, 2001 to Dominque Whitehead and the late Curtis Gayles, Sr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents- Virginia Jackson, Jessie Anna Whitehead, and Bryant Whitehead, an uncle- James Earl Davis.
At an early age he was baptized and joined Gethsemane Baptist Church, South Hill, VA. He was a 2020 graduate from Park View Senior High School, South Hill, VA. He furthered his education by receiving three certificates in welding from SVCC, Alberta, VA.
Taiveon later became employed with Hyland Filter Services of Owensboro, KY until his demise.
In his spare time, he enjoyed music, rapping, dancing, football, and fishing. His favorite team was the Seattle Seahawks. Taiveon wore a beautiful smile and he loved to make people laugh and keep the peace. He had a heart of gold and he was willing to do whatever he could for his fellowman.

Loretta (Charles) Bailey, all of Red Oak, VA; Dorothy (Mike)Jones, Youngsville, NC; Flora Whitehead and Janice Whitehead of Newark, NJ; Shirl Fowlkes, Woodbridge, VA; Barbara Osborne, South Hill, VA and Delores Hayes, NJ; 10 uncles- Richard (Tasha) Oliver, Sr., Keysville, VA; Derek Staten, Baltimore, MD; Shaun Oliver, Red Oak, VA; Michael Whitehead, Jr., Marcus Whitehead, and Kacel (Nicole) Watson, all of Farmville, VA; Ronnie, Bill, and Herman Gayles, all of Richmond, VA; and Cornell Gayles of Texas; 1 great-aunt; 5 great-uncles; 13 nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends too numerous to name.
