Obituary For Ms. Ruthie Ferguson

Spartanburg, SC – Ms. Ruthie Mae Ferguson was born January 27, 1944 to the late General Lee Ferguson and Silverlock Ferguson. Ms. Ferguson entered God’s eternal paradise on Sunday April 16, 2017. Ms. Ferguson was a faithful member of Harrison Grove Baptist Church and The Wofford Chapel Human Society. Ms. Ferguson retired from Z.L. Madden Elementary School after being a School Dietician in District 6 and 7 Schools for 20 years of service. She retired due to being diagnosed with Kidney Failure on May 8, 1982. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to: her daughter, Tammy (Michael) Lyles of Spartanburg, SC; her son Charles (Jennifer) Ferguson of Spartanburg, SC; her brother, John Lewis (Ella) Ferguson of Moore, SC; her sister Virginia Ferguson of Spartanburg, SC; her sisters-in-law Addie Ferguson of Roebuck, SC and Carrie Ferguson of Moore, SC; five grandchildren, Tamara, Tamia, and Michael Lyles of Spartanburg, SC; a loving niece Theresa Lakisshia Ferguson of Spartanburg, SC; two great grand-children, Derrick Jr. and Taniyah Tate of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie Frank Ferguson, Sr., Johnny Lee Ferguson, Robert Lee Ferguson and Paul Van Ferguson; two sisters, Elizabeth Ferguson-Murphy and Cora Lee Ferguson-Sortor. A Celebration of the Life of Ruthie Mae Ferguson will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Harrison Grove Baptist Church, 299 Harrison Grove Rd. Roebuck, SC. The Pastor Allen Rector will officiate. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Tammy Ferguson at 550 Little Creek Rd. Spartanburg, SC.
