Obituary For Mrs. Louise Byrd Hawkins

Spartanburg, SC – Mrs. Louise Byrd Hawkins, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was born September 27, 1932 to Winfield Byrd and Viola Collins Byrd. Mrs. Hawkins was the devoted wife to the late Mr. Roy Hawkins for twenty years. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her children, John Vernon Sims, Dennis (Shaleena) Sims, Robin Hawkins all of Spartanburg, SC and Calvin (Jackie) Sims of Tacoma, WA; her sisters, Mary Fernandors, Juanita Copeland of Spartanburg, SC, Bernice (John) Coan, Bobby (Druella) Byrd of Roebuck, SC and Gennell (Eddie) Tolliver of Jonesboro, GA; her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her great nephews whom were dear to her, Terrance Fernandors of Norfolk, VA and Tawarren Fernandors of Shelby, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Louise Byrd Hawkins will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 2:00 p.m. at Foster Chapel Baptist Church, 2800 Stone Station Rd., Roebuck, SC. The Reverend Patrick Suber will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 103 First Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
