Obituary For Mr. Harold Douglas Davis

Spartanburg, SC – Mr. Harold Douglas Davis passed away June 2, 2017. Deacon Harold Douglas Davis, 65, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 02, 2017, at the home. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late John Henry Littlejohn and Nannie Mae Rice. He was the loving husband of Mary Brannon Davis. Deacon Davis was a faithful and dedicated member of Monks Grove Baptist Church. He served in numerous ministries including the Servants-R-Us and Brotherhood Ministries. He loved God, his family, his church and his favorite pastime was painting, deep frying fish, and making people laugh. Deacon Davis graduated from Benjamin E. Mays High School in Pacolet, South Carolina. He served four years in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by: his sister, Linda Rice; his brother, Jimmy Rice. Left to cherish fond and loving memories in their hearts are: his beautiful wife of 18 years, Mary Brannon Davis; his daughters, Wykeshia Davis and Angela Moore both of Spartanburg, SC; his sons, Marcus Mosley of Austin, TX and Rodney Murray of Spartanburg, SC; his sisters, Ruby Rice and Iris Rice both of Spartanburg, SC; his brother, Ronnie Rice of Spartanburg, SC; his devoted aunts, Annie Belle Martin and Barbara Davis of Spartanburg, SC; his mother-in law, Mattie Thompson Brannon; his nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Harold Douglas Davis will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Monks Grove Baptist Church, 718 Monks Grove Church Rd., Spartanburg, SC. The Reverend Walter Davis IV will officiate. Entombment will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC. Visitation will be at Monks Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. The family will receive friends at the home, 4 beech St., Spartanburg, SC
