Obituary For Barbara Ann Murphy Clyburn

Barbara Ann Murphy Clyburn was born September 23, 1958 to the late Mildred Johnson Murphy Knuckles and James Murphy in Pacolet, S.C. She resided in Canyon Country, California. She graduated from Spartanburg High School class of 1975 and worked in textile for many years. She later worked for Alcoa in Duncan, S.C. She was proceeded in death by her late husband Darrell L. Clyburn of 19 years of marriage, two brothers, Harry J. Murphy (Isabella) and William Murphy (Beverly). She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She leaves behind to cherish fond and loving memories one son, De’Juan T. Murphy (Jennifer) of Canyon Country, C.A. Two daughters, Jaelen Bates of the home and stepdaughter Angela M. Clyburn Irby of Williamsburg, V.A. Three grandsons, Jah’lon Murphy of the home, Terrese Sims (Madison) of Sumter, S.C. and Marshall Irby Jr. of Williamsburg, V.A. Two granddaughters, Alaycia Smith of the home and Amber Irby of Williamsburg, V.A. One sister, Helen R. Rodgers (Thomas) of Gaffney, SC. Two brothers, James Murphy (Minnie) of Spartanburg, S.C. and Clarence Murphy (Gwen) of Moore, S.C. Two brother-in-laws, Ronald Clyburn (Cynthia) of Boiling Springs, S.C. and Kenneth Clyburn (Ruth) of Spartanburg, S.C. One godson, Tyla Moore of Spartanburg, S.C. and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones. A Celebration of the Life of Barbara Ann Murphy Clyburn will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. The Reverend Akeem Downs will officiate. Interment will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Ext., Roebuck, SC. The family will receive friends at 709 Ridgedale Dr., Spartanburg, SC and 639 Concord Rd., Gaffney, SC. J.W. Woodward Funeral Home
