David Watts, Jr. (DJ) was born on January 15, 1990 in Upson County to the parentage of the late Mr. David Watts, Sr and Charlotte Wilkerson. David departed from this earthly life on Friday, May 3, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parental grandparents Mr. Carter and Mrs. Lucille Watts; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Bell Goss; aunts and uncles: Ms. Melissa Goss, Mrs. Florence (James) Gardner, Mrs. Rita Smith, Mr. Eddie B. Watts, and Mr. Mannon Watts.
DJ decided to give his life to Christ at the early age of 16 years old under the leadership of us uncle, Pastor Paul Watts, Sr. at Midway Baptist Church.
DJ received his education from Lamar County School System and graduacting with Class of 2009. (You may want to make this sound better). DJ always had a love for sport and was very active on both the football fields and basketball field during his lifetime. After high school, DJ's love for sports continued while spending a lot of his free time coaching at the Lamar County Recreation Department. DJ loved all of the kids while seeing some potential in each individual.
No matter who DJ came across he was always known to honor the values who was taught regarding family values. Many people would mention that DJ was always pleasant, mannerable, and kept a smile on his face no matter what. A lot of his closest friends and associates usually describe DJ as “SOLID”. DJ reminded others as a gentle bear on the inside with the kindness heart but a solid giant on the outside.
DJ leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Ms. Janet Watts; children, Mister Jordan Watts, Mister Bryson Watts, & Miss. Kahleiyah Watts, Sisters & brothers, Mr. Shelton (Rhonda) Watkins, Mrs. Danesha (James) Morris, India Wilkerson, Mrs. Jana Goodwin and Autumn Sanders, Mother of his children: Ms. Keisha Sullivan; aunts: Ms. Meldon Watts, Mrs. Belinda (Fred) Pope, Mrs. Pauline (Joe) McMichael, Mrs. Angela (Stanley) Lamar; Mrs. Maxine (Marcus) Roussaw, Mrs. Gail (William) Gaither, Ms. Mary Lyons, Mrs. Ruby Evans, Mrs. Cassandra Godfrey; uncles: Mr. John (JoAnn) Watts, Mr. Paul (Maxine) Watts Sr. Mr. Carlton (Betty) Watts, Mr. James Watts, Mr. Rickey Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
