On May 13, 2024, our beloved Michael Webb departed his life in Augusta University Medical Center. God loaned him to us for 67 years.
Michael, fondly known as "Mike" and "Michael Webb" (Yes, his whole name!!), was born on November 21, 1956, to his now deceased parents- Major Webb, Sr., and Eddie Lee Howard-Webb in Waynesboro, GA. He is the fifth of five children.
His parents placed on the roll of The United House of Prayer for All People, Waynesboro, GA, when he was very young.
Michael is a 1974 graduate of Waynesboro High School, Waynesboro, GA. Upon his high school graduation, he attended Miles College, Fairfield, Alabama.
He retired from Georgia Regional Hospital, Augusta, GA. Michael was a Care-Giver at the VA Hospital and during Masters Weeks at the Augusta National, he worked as a chauffeur. When his health began declining, he was admitted to Pruitt Health Augusta Hills, Augusta, GA.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents (above); his infant son-Aldric Jones-Webb; life-long companion, Thelma Gilchrist-Robinson; his brother-Major Webb, Jr.; neice, Bonya T. Webb; sister, Joan Webb-McBride-Powell, and nephew, Don Cedric McBride, Jr.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Cyrene N. Searcy, Atlanta, GA; siblings-Cynthia Webb-Dolberry (Columbus), Philadelphia, PA; brother, Willie M. Webb, Atlanta, GA; special nieces, Shelonda K. McBride, Augusta, GA and Amber L. Dolberry, Montgomery, AL; special nephews, Luigi ("Dean") U. Webb (Bernadette) and Michael U. Webb (Shea), all of Atlanta, GA; special great-nephews, Cody Webb and Michael C. Webb, Atlanta, GA, and Dontavious L. McBride, Waynesboro, GA; special great-niece, Chandasia A. McBride, Augusta, GA; very devoted cousins, Gwendolyn Lynch-Sampson (Thomas) and Keith A. Godbee, both of Augusta, GA, and a host of other nieces and nephews; devoted aunts and uncles; other cousins and friends.
