Mr. Alfred L. Lovelace, 88, of Gadsden, AL, passed away on Tuesday, May 21,2024.
He is survived by his loving family.
Remembering the Life of Mr. Alfred Lee Lovelace
Mr. Alfred Lee Lovelace was born on April 1,1936 in Gadsden, AL to the late Lillie Mae Lovelace and Willie Ogletree.
He confessed Christ at an early age. He joined New Life Family Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Tonya Latham. Later he joined United Christian New Beginning Ministry under the leadership of Reverend Charles Kirkpatrick. He served faithfully.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ollie Mae Green.
He was educated at Carver High School in Gadsden, AL and he was employed with the City of Gadsden Water Department and Sanitation Department for years until he became disabled.
He enjoyed sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and his friends waving at cars. He was an Alabama Football Fan and he enjoyed going to church.
He departed this life on May 21,2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae Lovelace and Willie Ogletree; wife, Ollie Mae green Lovelace; son, Wilie T. Lovelace; sister, Juanita Lovelace; brother, James Willie Lovelace; beloved aunt, Odell McCurdy Moon, and beloved cousin, Barbara Jean Bishop.
He leaves to cherish his memories to: Special cousins, Jacqueline Moon Munn, Janell Moon McCloud, Jonathon James Moon, Roderick Granger, Tami Colli and Gerald Bishop; Nephews, Allen Lovelace, and Oscar Cattling IV; nieces, Acquanetta Green Towers, Rhonda Clemons, Jackquella Cattling; sister-in-laws, Jackie Green Cattling and Lula Mae Green; best friend, Bobby Johnson; other friends, Heath Robinson and Enrestoration. A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Monday, May 27,2024 from 12 noon-6pm.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 28,2024 at the United Christian New Beginning Ministry Church at 12 noon. Eulogist: Reverend Charles Kirkpatrick
Interment: Lincoln Hill Memorial Gardens
