Stanley Franklin Wilson

Stanley Franklin Wilson, known as Frank by everyone, was born December 13th, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, to his beautiful mother, Dora Snerley-Wilson, and father, Joe Wilson. His siblings, Joanne Wilson–Hayes, Robert Lee Wilson, John Wilson, Augusta Wilson, Howard Wilson Sr., Emma Jean Wilson, Lorraine Wilson, Ira Lawrence Wilson, Earl Wilson Sr., Charles Wilson Sr., and Ollie Mae Wilson, all preceded him in death, along with his eldest son, Antonio Hines Sr.

Frank lived a robust life filled with adventures. He was also a foot soldier in the Vietnam War. As a war veteran, he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal for his bravery and commitment to the armed forces. Frank's memory lies in being a devout husband, father, friend, Minister, and Assistant Pastor. His passion for knowledge led him to obtain several certifications through the Tennessee Technology Center of Memphis, including PC Hardware Technician, Network Technician, Information Processing Technician, and Micro Computer Specialist Technician. He also obtained his bachelor's degree in Business Accounting from LeMoyne Owen College. As a man of God and a knowledge seeker, he instilled in his children and grandchildren the power of reading, obtaining an education, and knowing God.

Frank leaves many friends and loved ones to continue his mission of education, ministry, and putting God first. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife, Martha Wilson; his two daughters, Larice Wilson and Tabitha Ayers; his three sons, Eric Yarber (Kierra), Derek Yarber, and Jessie Wilson (Kendra); his grandchildren, Don Grimes, Timothy Harris, Kevin Harris, Jalen Harris, Keira Harris, Trinity Jackson, Kierra Hines, Antonio Hines Jr., Faith Hines, Dierra Jones, Derrion Jones, Aeneas Blue, Aliana Ayers, King Wilson, and Queen Egypt Wilson; a dear and special great-nephew, Joseph Wilson, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 11:00am-11:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 noon both will be held at Acacia Baptist Church and Christian Center 7749 E Shelby Drive, Memphis, TN 38125.

Interment will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:00am in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
