A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3283 Highway 167, Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Willie Waver Eaglin who entered eternal rest at her residence in Opelousas, LA on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

Father Taj Glodd of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating the funeral service.

Waver, as she was fondly known, was preceded in death by: her parents, Evelyn and Hayes Carmouche, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Frank and Ida Johnson Chavis; paternal grandparents, Theophile and Bertha Sampay Carmouche; brothers, Hayes Joseph Carmouche, Jr., Joseph Franklin Carmouche and Paul Lionel Carmouche, Sr.; mother-in-law, Ellen P. Eaglin; sister-in-law, Linda Perry; brother-in-law, Michael Eaglin; and nephews, Harold Carmouche, Jr. and Jerome Carmouche.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Gabriel Eaglin of Opelousas, LA; children, Tanzy (Akil) Mason of Atlanta, GA, Desiray Eaglin of Opelousas, LA and Marquell Eaglin of Opelousas, LA; brother, Harold Carmouche, Sr.; brother, Larry (Glinda) Carmouche, Sr.; brother, Wayne (Alice) Carmouche, Sr.; sister, Carol Ann (Lawrence) Gardiner all of Opelousas, LA; brother, Gregory Carmouche, Sr.; brother, Stanley (Alaundra) Carmouche, Sr.; sister, Kimberly Carmouche all of Houston, TX; sister, Roslyn (Clyde) Jackson of Beaumont, TX; sister, Roxanne Carmouche and brother, Gary (Tracey) Carmouche, Sr. both of Opelousas, LA; in-laws, Rhode Carmouche, Ramona Eddington, Floyd Eaglin, Patricia Tolbert and Mary White; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m.
