Jessie Dock “J.D.” Redd gained his heavenly wings on May 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Ruth Redd, son Michael A. Redd, brother, Eddie L. Redd, and sisters, Dianne Redd and Josephine Redd Evans.

Jessie Dock Redd was born on September 12, 1949, in Greensboro, Georgia. He attended F.T. Corry High School in Greensboro, GA. J.D. as he was affectionally called loved Western movies, fishing, and spending time with his family. Jessie accepted Christ as his savior and joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Frankie Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving son, Kenneth (Catherine) Stovall, (Union Point, GA); eight grandchildren, Miranda A. Redd, Akia T. Andrews, Jasmine N. Redd, Kenneth D. Stovall, Tevin B. Stovall, Kelondra Stovall, Kentron A. Stovall, DeAndre Wallace; his loving siblings Annette Redd, Carolyn (Alfonzo)Thomas, Jerome (Emma Jean) Redd, Dennis Redd, and Emerson (Anethea) Redd all of Greensboro, GA; and his aunt Ruby Chaffin, Leola Wright, and Nettie Wright; Caregiver, Barbara Hughes, and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to the Nesbitt family for always being there. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
