Phillip Jason Hawkins, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2024, at the age of fifty-five. Born on August 13, 1968, Phillip brought undeniable joy and inspiration to all who knew him. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends.
Phillip was a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Aftergraduating,his enterprising spirit would eventually lead him to embark on a successful real estate journey, acquiring properties throughout Greensboro and building beautiful homes for families, including his own, to enjoy for many years to come. His exceptional intellect and unwavering leadership propelled him to obtain ownership of a ServiceMaster franchise to which he aspired to leave his children. He was respected and admired by his colleagues for his expertise, creativity, humor, and collaborative spirit.
Beyond his professional achievements, Phillip was a kind and generous soul, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. He had a natural ability to connect with people and was deeply committed to providing a window of opportunity to all those around him.
He is preceded in death by Paul David Hawkins (father); Bertha Mae Hawkins (mother); Phillip Jason Hawkins II (son).
Phillip's family was the cornerstone of his life. His legacy lives on through his children, Shawn, and Sidney Hawkins. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Keith Scott (Margaret Scott), Donna James (Larry James), Tracy Scott, Kurtis Scott (Jewel Scott), David Hawkins (Danielle Hawkins) and a host of nieces and nephews. Phillip's bond with his family was unbreakable, and he took immense pride in their shared memories and traditions.
Phillip Jason Hawkins will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Remembered for his brilliant mind, generous heart, and the impact he made on the lives of everyone he met. His infectious spirit will remain in the hearts of all of those who had the privilege of
knowing him.

Viewing will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Family Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:30 PM followed by the Funeral at 1:00 PM in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. Burial will follow immediately at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3901 Forest Lawn Dr, Greensboro, NC.
