Mrs. Calona Lewis Clemmons, of Capmbellton, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, May 31, 2024, at her residence.

She was born on June 15, 1946, in Jackson County to the late Georgia Mae Lewis and James Williams. She married the late R.D. Clemmons.

She was preceded in death by a son: Jerhron Clemmons; brother: Otis Lewis and a sister: Minnie Lois Lewis Walker.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 4194 Union Road in Marianna, Florida 32446 where the Reverend Hollis McClendon is the pastor with Elder James Russ, officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Clemmons will lie in repose at the church from 12:00 PM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Five Sons: Willie (Tangelyn) of Bonaire, Georgia; David (Robbie) of Dothan, Alabama; Robert (Monica) of Graniteville, South Carolina; Steve (Demetria) of Bonaire, Georgia and Daniel (Tamika) of Columbus, Georgia

One Daughter: Alexandria (Justin) of Columbus, Georgia

Five Stepchildren: Roy (Bobbie) of Cape Canaveral, Florida; Corine Wooten; Sherry Clemmons, Edna Clemmons and Betty Smith all of Tallahassee, Florida

One Sister: Betty Baker

Twelve grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren

And a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
