Obituary For Goldina Bell Johnson

OKMULGEE, OK - Goldina Bell Johnson, 94, passed away quietly on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her home in Okmulgee. She was born December 7, 1923 in Okmulgee, where she was a lifelong resident. She attended Okmulgee City schools and was a 1942 graduate of Dunbar High School. She also graduated from Okmulgee Technical College. She was united in marriage to Harry H. Johnson, Sr. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in January 2010. To this marriage seven children were born. She worked as a nursing assistant and did home care nursing for many years while educating their seven children Mrs. Johnson was the oldest member of Cleaves Memorial C.M.E. Church, Okmulgee, where she served in many capacities. She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, a daughter, Clarice L. Price, two sons, Harry H. Johnson, Jr., and William H. Johnson, and a grandson, Wendell Price. Surviving are: four daughters, Andrea (Johnny Sr.) Stewart, Humboldt, TN; JoAnn Farmer, Hephzibah, GA, Mary Ann (Leon) Wiles, Moore, SC and Beverly Jordan, Broken Arrow, OK; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. A special acknowledgement to her cousin and friend, Ruth Chandler. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 in Okmulgee, OK. Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
