> I am very sorry for the recent loss of your dear loved one, Mr. Willie. I have a brief encouraging message I would like to share with you from the Bible. The Bible can be a great source of both comfort and hope during this most difficult time in your lives. For an example, at Revelation 21:3-5 it assures us that the day is soon coming when our most loving Heavenly Father is going to wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes and that even pain and death will be no more. I hope after reading this it will be of some comfort to each one of you. If later you would like to learn more from the Bible about why we die or why does a loving God allow so much suffering and injustice, please feel free to go to the website: www.jw.org to find satisfying answers.

It is with deep sorrow that my wife and I share with you during this time of grief. Having known Willie 'Skip' Chappell as a friend since our High School days at Brewer High School in Greenwood during the late 1960's. Our days growing up in Greenwood and having renewed friendships after moving to Spartanburg as Radiology professionals kept our friendly relationship growing. He will be truly missed and always remembered as one who loved life, God, friends and family. May you the family be comforted in knowing that he is in the comforting care of a loving God who is able to keep you during this transition of your loved one. Blessings, The Calhoun Family

I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Chappell's passing and we are sadden when death occurs. That is because we never suppose to die according to God's Word the Bible. We can be encouraged by the promise that Jehovah God made at Revelation 21:4 where he tells us that 'Death will be no more'. We know that Jesus cried when his friend Lazarus died, so we recognize how sorrowful you feel. But just as Lazarus?ÇÖs sisters Mary and Martha found comfort in Jesus promise, we too can find that same comfort in the written words of God at John 5 versus 28 and 29, we find promises of a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous, just as Jesus demonstrated when He resurrected Lazarus, we know the same is true for Mr. Chappell. May you find the comfort He wants us to have in Him and his Words found in the Bible. My deepest sympathy. D L Smith

We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: 'God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress.' Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
