CHURCH POINT – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point, LA at 11:00 a.m. for Mr. Nalve Citizen, 81, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Senior Village Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Opelousas, LA.

Fr. Chrysanthus Ugorji will celebrate the Mass.

Mr. Citizen’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Patricia Citizen of Church Point, LA; three daughters, Melanie Perrodin (Sean) of Houston, TX, Stephanie Citizen of Carencro, LA and Leslie Citizen-Goberdhan (Sanjeev) of Cypress, TX; one sister, Shirley Chachere of Church Point, LA; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Eluse and Beatrice Citizen; three brothers, Joseph Lee, Roland Citizen and Blake Citizen; and five sisters, Willie Mae Says, Ethel Chavis, Sable Bill, Mary Katherine Citizen and Theresa Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.

A repass will follow immediately after services at Our Mother of Mercy Church Hall.
