Versher Williams, 46, of Newark, New Jersey, passed on Monday, June 17, 2024 in Columbus, Georgia.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Words of Wisdom with Bishop Barbara Ann Shephard, Pastor and Rev Henry McGruder, officiating and Pastor Keith James, eulogist. Burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery. Public viewing from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, June 27, 2024.

Versher Cortez Williams, affectionately known as “87”, “Millionaire” and “Smoothwhip”. was born August 30,1977 to the late Landa Michelle Brooks. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vera Lee Kelley-Adams and Ernest Richmond Williams Sr., his step grandfather, Joseph Adams and stepfather, Steven Lawrence Sr.

He was baptized at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by four siblings; a loving sister, Vera (Barney) Burt, his brothers, Steven Lawrence, Dalzato (Cierra) Parker and Jajuan (Marketta) Parker. His bonus grandmother, Lucille Williams, God-Mother, Deborah Hendricks and bonus dad, Phillip (Jackie) Sasser; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, his DUB Family and friends.
