Christine L. Marrow, 94, of Sandston, Virginia, answered the Master’s call and peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Deacon and Deaconess John Wesley and Alma H. Lightfoot; son, Melvin O. Marrow, Jr.; sister, Rebecca Miller. She is survived by her devoted husband of 74 years, Deacon Melvin O. Marrow, Sr. She leaves a remarkable legacy with her daughters, Bernice Marrow, Cynthia Barbour (Kenneth), Carolyn Campbell (Norris); son, Bruce Marrow, Sr. (Veronica); grandchildren, Kermetra Dixon, Christopher Coates, Bruce Marrow, Jr., Bradley Marrow (Stephanie), Faith Barbour; one great-grandson, Dante Dixon (father, Danny Smith); sister, Mary DePriest; goddaughter, Kimberly Jones; godson, Warren DePriest, Jr.; nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, friends and neighbors. Remains at rest Scott’s Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where a viewing will be held Monday, July 1 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2 at Scott’s Chapel, 116 E.
