Christine Michael, 63, a resident of Elephant Butte, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1960, in Brooklyn, NY to Norbert Gostischa and Alice Christine Perugi. Christine was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving four years in telecommunications. She was a member of the American Legion Post 44. Survivors include her parents, Norbert and Alice Gostischa of Los Lunas, NM; daughter, Christy Gremelspacher, of Logansport, IN; grandchildren – Matthew Titus of Logansport, IN and Jennifer Titus of Florida; sisters – Susan Carvalho of Albuquerque, NM, Katherine Baca of Elephant Butte, NM, and Cynthia Hoover of Albuquerque, NM; and uncle, Rudiger “Rudy” Gostischa of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Michael. The family will be holding a Memorial Celebration Service on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 44 officiated by 2nd Vice Commander David Tribeau.
