Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Lee Underwood-Burrell was born on March 27, 1956, in Centreville, Alabama to the late Mr. John Underwood & Mrs. Ora D. Underwood. She departed this earthly life to be with the Lord Monday, June 24, 2024.

Carrie dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Haysop Baptist Church in Brent, Alabama. She was educated in the Bibb County school system and was a graduate of Bibb County High School. She was united in holy matrimony with her late husband Mr. Willie “Jack” Burrell, in 1999.

Carrie was preceded in death by three sisters Mrs. Eva Mae Underwood Smith, Mrs. Lou Ella Gardner, & Mrs. Rosetta Moore, one brother, Mr. Ned Underwood, and a special nephew Mr. Wyatt Lavarne Goodgain.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beautiful, loving daughter Ms. Carla Jacqulyn Clark (Rickey), one grandson Mr. Joshua Kelvin Bowie, one loving & devoted sister & caretaker, Mrs. Annie L. Underwood Goodgain, two brothers Mr. R.L. Underwood, and Mr. King Underwood (Wyteria), & a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
