Pamela Stokes

Pamela Stokes was born on May 28, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia to Janie Henderson Stokes and Arthur Lee Stokes.

On Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 12:41 pm, Pamela accepted her wings and entered into heaven.

Pamela graduated from College Park High school in 1983. She began her Teaching career in 1985 with the YMCA Head Start Program. She completed her Associates Degree from Clayton State University. Attended Spelman College for her Bachelor of Arts graduating Cum Laude. Striving for more, she went back to continue her education gaining her Masters of Education from American Intercontinental University.

Teaching was her absolute passion and devoted 33 years to making a difference in children lives. Making people laugh and telling jokes was her specialty. Helping people in their time of need and offering advice was who she was as a person . She had a heart of gold and was an enthusiastic sports fan. She loved spending time with family and traveling. Her grandchildren were her world and she will brag about them to whom ever listen, she would brag about them to whomever would listen.

She was preceded in death by her Parents Janie and Arthur Stokes; Brother, Melvin Henderson; Sisters, Gloria, Darlene and Dorothy Stokes.

Her memory will forever be cherished and truly missed by those she leaves behind; Daughter Ms. LaToya DeShazor; Grandsons, Jaden Demps and Jordan De Los Angeles; Sister Ms. Deborah Stokes; Uncle Mr. Eddie Lee Henderson; Brother-in-law Mr. Stanley Dorsey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
