Mrs. Lizzie Mae Smith Aaron was born to the late Peter “Bun” and Castelia Cummings Smith on November 5, 1932, in Jackson, South Carolina. On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, an angel slipped into the room at 1304 Bruce Street, Augusta, GA. and quietly took Lizzie Smith Aaron by the hand and led her to her heavenly home.
At an early age, she joined the Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church. After hearing the Gospel, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior by being baptized at the Belvedere Church of Christ. She was faithful in her attendance until her health did not allow her to attend worship service.
Mrs. Aaron was the second oldest of eleven children. She retired from President Bakery (Murray Biscuit Company) after thirty years of service.
On September 9, 1950, Mrs. Aaron married the love of her life, the late Hayward Aaron, Jr., they were married for thirty years. God blessed them with seven children, two preceded her in death, and one grandson, William Anthony Curtis.
