On July 11, 2024, in Youngstown, Ohio, Jacqueline Denise Aziz-Joe passed away, entering into the realm of eternal rest. Jacqueline was the beloved daughter of Lula James and Jesse James. Her journey on this earth began on April 14, 1956, in the very heart of Youngstown, a city she cherished and called home. This radiant soul has departed from us, leaving a void that can never be filled.
Jacqueline dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a compassionate personal care assistant in the health care industry. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, showcasing her unwavering commitment to helping those in need. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and lived out her faith and displayed the works of ministry as she care and gave selflessly to others.
Married to the late Abdul Aziz, Jacqueline poured her love and devotion into raising her children and nurturing her granddaughters. She was a pillar of strength for her family, leaving behind unforgettable memories that will be cherished for generations to come.
Jacqueline was known for her love of bingo, engaging conversations, and her quick wit. Her laughter filled the room, her kindness touched countless lives, and her memory will forever be a cherished legacy. Yet her selfless nature and generosity brightened the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Jacqueline found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from playing Uno and Old Maid card games with her grandchildren to enjoying movie nights with her family, sharing laughs over the Tubi network programming. Jacqueline's love for Italian Sausage pizza from Uptown Pizza was a special indulgence that always brought a smile to her face. In her spare time, she frequented Mountaineer Casino & Gaming, while partaking in the thrill of the daily lottery.
Jacqueline leaves cherished memories with her son, Brian Dobyne James, granddaughters Makiah Lashae Aziz and Brea Keshun Aziz, as well as her brothers Orlando James and Eugene James. Jacqueline’s legacy will be sustained by her great- grandchildren and a cadre of family and friends.
As Jacqueline entered into eternity she was welcomed by her beloved parents, husband, daughter Lashawnda Renee Aziz, along with her siblings Geraldine Lott, Elesteen Smith and Curtis James.
As the Aziz-Joe family gathers to celebrate Jacqueline’s life and legacy, there will be a public viewing and visitation at 9:00am on Saturday July 20, 2024 at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 2821 Hillman Street. The Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00am where Pastor Clifford Kimbrough will officiate and Rev. Tensley Young will serve as the eulogist. In the embrace of her community, Jacqueline will find her resting place in a committal ceremony following the celebration at Belmont Park Cemetery, 3346 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, OH 44505.
Jacqueline's spirit will forever dance in the hearts of those who knew her, a luminous light that will guide us through the shadows of loss. May she find eternal peace in the gentle embrace of the heavens above, watching over us with a smile that radiates pure love.
