Vincent Eric “ Sweet Pea” Burns Jr., 43 the husband of Samantha Burns, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 17, 2024, at Baptist Health - Hospital, in Lexington, KY.

Vincent played defensive end for the University of Kentucky from 2001-2004 and was a 2x Second
Team all-SEC.

Vincent also was a 2005 3round 92 pick for the Indianapolis Colts where he won a Super Bowl.

In addition to his wife, Sweet Pea is survived by his parents, Laverne Gardner and Hank Burns,

Also left to honor his memories are his children, Jodi Wright, Nevaeh Burns,
Ava Burns, Kymora Sockwell-Burns,
Chazney Lewis, and Mylon White.
