Walter Lewis Jr. was born September 28, 1960 and was called home on July 15, 2024. Walter accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at St John Baptist church in Birmingham, Alabama. He was educated in the Birmingham school system and graduated in 1978. Walter joined the United States Navy and served his country until he was honorably discharged. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Bailey-Lewis of 29 years. They were married in Tucson, AZ on October 28, 1994. To this union two daughters were born: Si’Ara and My’ya. He is also the father to Rashad. Walter was cared for by the wonderful staff at the Birmingham VA hospital ER, MICU and Palliative Care team of Drs and Nurses. He leaves to cherish his memories three beautiful children Clarence ‘Rashad’ Adams, Si’Ara Denise Lewis, My’ya Elizabeth Lewis and a loving Grandson Orion Alexander Lewis. As well as three caring sisters Dominique (Reginald) Nall, Kathy (Jesse) Bailey, Michelle Lewis Span and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Hall and Walter Lewis Sr.
