Doris Ann Parmley Akins,77, of Newport passed Monday, July 22, 2024 at her residence.

Her Celebration of Life Service is 3:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2024 at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church 189 Howard Blvd., Newport and can be viewed on Oscar’s Mortuary Facebook Page.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Price of the home; one sister, Helen Harrison, Newport; five brothers, William Parmley, Newport, James Parmley, New Bern, George Parmley, Philadelphia, PA, Tommy Parmley, Morehead, NC, Richard Parmley, Garner, NC; four grandchildren, Crystal James, Tuallah Akins, Rahiem James, Natasha Akins; five great grandchildren, Khalil Lewis, Mia James, Kennedy James, Aalayha Norwood.
